Folding a bumper? I know, it sounds crazy but IT WORKS! We have been shipping them this way for about 10 years now. Our economy-shipped bumper is one of our most popular and cost-friendly options. Folding bumpers have become a very common practice for online vendors. Since a bumper is made only from ABS plastic, it is very pliable and flexible. Will the paint job be ruined? Crazy enough, it does NOT ruin the paint job because we do add a flex additive to the paint to help prevent any issues. We tuck the ends of the bumper inward and secure them with some shrink wrap. The part is then passed through a wrapping machine until the entire item has been covered and then it starts its journey to you!
How to UNFOLD
You won’t believe how easy this is! With just a bit of time and a warm spot—whether that’s under the sun or in a heated room—the bumper will reshape itself. Leave it for 3 to 5 hours, and just like that, it’s back to its original form and ready to install. Pretty amazing, right?
What if it DOES NOT work?
We fully stand behind the quality of our product. If you encounter any issues after the unfolding process, don’t hesitate to reach out—our dedicated customer service team will be more than happy to assist you.
How often do we see damages? How many parts do we ship a day?
Great question! Our company ships over 1,500 parts daily—from tailgates and fenders to bumpers and more. Across the thousands of parts we send out each month, our issue rate remains below 2%, which includes any transit-related damages. We're proud of these numbers, especially given the volume and the fact that our parts are shipped nationwide. When you factor out transit damage, imperfections from folding the bumpers are even less frequent.
What happens if the bumper arrives with imperfections folding?
Rest assured—if there are any issues with your part caused by the folding process, we’ve got you covered. We understand there’s a bit of risk involved with shipping in this way, and we’re fully prepared to make it right. Our support team is just a phone call away, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM EST. For more information on what to do if a part arrives damaged, feel free to visit our blog going over what steps to take if the bumper arrives damaged.
Do customers really choose folded shipping?
While folding may sound like something customers might want to avoid, it’s actually our most popular shipping method. Hundreds of trusted body shops have tried our folded bumpers and continue to choose economy shipping thanks to its reliability and cost savings. After extensive testing, we’ve perfected a folding process that protects the part and helps customers save hundreds of dollars.
Price difference between Economy Shipping and Premium Shipping
Economy shipping helps save our customers hundreds of dollars because it includes free shipping. By folding the bumper, we’re able to reduce its size enough to qualify for ground shipping. If a package exceeds certain dimensions, it must ship via freight instead—which significantly increases the cost. Freight rates are based zip code, so the farther you are from Michigan, the more expensive it gets. These shipping fees can range from $180 to $360 in addition to the product cost.
At the end of the day, your peace of mind matters to us. At Bumpers That Deliver, we stand 100% behind our products. No matter which shipping option you choose—Economy or Premium—you’re covered. We’ve spent 15 years perfecting how we care for our customers, and we’re here to make your experience smooth and affordable. Save time, save money—we’ve got your back.
